If a next gen Pokemon games comes out on switch instead of DS. Nintedo will have a decent generation...if pokemon is still released on DS...yeah don't look too good for switch.

It's amazing how a successful Nintendo product seem to cause so much psychological and emotional pain for some people.

The only cure for them is for Nintendo to fail but they can temporarily ease the discomfort and symptoms of a successful Nintendo console by making irrational and illogically derived negative comments, statements, news spin and predictions.

Idk man, all signs point to a huge drop in January.

Wouldn't the same be said with other consoles? Sales in general tend to go down by the end of the holiday season.

Yes, but what you aren't seeing here is that the Switch will start to sell like the XBO in Japan, but everywhere. That is how it will not even pass the Wii U. Do some research.

US/UM were confirmed to be the last mainline titles on 3DS and the series is moving to Switch.

A Pokémon game hasn't been released on DS for 5 years now, I don't think a comeback is too likely.

Seriously though, they have already confirmed the next mainline Pokémon game will be on Switch, and even said with US/UM they've pushed the 3DS as far as they could and don't want to develop more games for it.

if this is true and people are still following wanting to play pokemon but want something update...this is gonna be a major boon to nintendo...

I think it dont will fail but the switch will get problems if there comes next xbox/ ps consoles, and it will fight against a low 3rd party support
50 million lifetime is my opinion

it sounds like you have negative feelings about nintendo. Maybe wishful thinking?

I think 50 million is on the low side, but still a reasonable prediction. The problem with the OP is that he didn't define failure. We can't have a good discussion about whether something will fail or succeed if these words aren't defined.

You really think its gonna hit 50 million?

Maybe if they drop the price to 179.99...like...tomorrow...
