People are opening their gifts, lots of shiny new PS4s purchased over the last month so of course the PS store cards are going to trend upwards. Notice the Xbox Live cards are trending upwards as well, way too early to call Q1. Holiday still has an effect even after Xmas IMO, because maybe kids didn't get a Switch/PS4/Xbone FOR Christmas but may have received money/gift cards to go and purchase them.

Cuz you've seen many Kids with 300-400 $ to spare on consoles after Christmas ? -_-

Sure why not? I remember being a kid and saving up for a 64 and I got $100 for Christmas which gave me the remainder budget I needed to get it. -_-

After this month, one would think Nintendo will get plenty of publicity. Could the Switch get to 15 million sold by its one year mark (March 2018)?

So you saved $100.  That's at least one third of the $300 Mar was talking about.

So??? My point is not all holiday purchases are prior to Xmas. Some are after the fact with Xmas money, its not a hard concept.

Now that the Christmas shopping is over and parents have stopped buying presents for their kids you can see the charts are starting to seriously favour playstation across all regions. This is a sign that ps4 will be easily winning Q1 of next year.

Also in Japan monster Hunter has gone back #1 which is mega because you know the Nintendo items near the top are a selling well. Exciting times ahead.

Uhm, you looking at the same chart?  Switch is at 5 and 9 while PS4 is at 8 and 65. And Switch games are still charting well, with 3 of the top 5 games on the charts being Nintendo Switch games, Odyssey being the top 1.

Now I am not calling quarter 1, but don't just make stuff up.  And the PS4 will get steamrolled in Japan.

The ps4 expectedly is getting steam rolled by a portable in Japan but it's steam rolling everything WW where it really matters.

It's not steamrolling anything in North America, despite a $50 discount + free game.

That's where the Q1 comes into play. WW Q1 shipments are high for Sony because of its global reach. Whether or not they lose in Japan overall doesn't matter in that aspect.

Well... It seems that the switch is the first console of choice worldwide on amazon. Even in Europe where Sony dominates.

PS: If you really support Sony sales you can celebrate that in Brazil the PS4 is the first in Amazon charts. But you have to consider that Nintendo isn't officially there.
