It looks like they're running away from some sort of...alien thing...on the left.

Yeah, maybe that's it. When you first see the picture, you think "whoa, hot chick!" then after looking at it for a while, you think "oh......she's about a decade younger than I am....:O"

First, this thread rocks. ^_^

Second, fazz nailed the Deathnote/car accident one. I forget exactly when/where it's from, but I saw this pic a while ago, shortly after it was taken. To the best of my knowledge it was taken near an anime con (I'm thinking Anime Expo 2006, but not at all sure), and the guy with the notebook is intentionally cosplaying Yagami Light. While debatably inappropriate, they happened upon an accident scene and decided to stage a crazy picture. If you're already familiar with the anime/manga it's pretty amazing the first time you see it.

For the one with the girl leaning over, look to the left of the vase w/ flower thingys in it (just to the right of the umbrella). I think I see a face there of a guy with something like a ski mask, and he either has his hand up to his face or it's Subzero/Scorpion. XD I'm not sure about this, but I somehow see that. ^^;

Also, for the one with the water under the bridge, it might be hard to see on some monitors. I didn't see anything till I cycled through some brightness/contrast modes, then a strange face w/ a hand up popped out at me.
