Good scores, looks like about as good as the last one.

To be honest, that has me excited.
Good scores, pretty much what I've expected. I think the game will end in the 85-90 mark, which will put it between XCX and the first one. And with a history of, in my opinion, Monolith Soft games being terribly underrated, I'm sure I'll enjoy the hell out of this one.
Good scores, but reading through the gamespot review dissencourages me.Not that the game will be excellent, it will certainly be, but that the reviewers will think that its too "japanese".I dont know, going by the vibe that the gamespot review gave me, and the whole cringeworthy discussion that gamespot had in one of their videos about XC 2, it seems that the game score will suffer because its too japanese or something of the sort.Even reading through the IGN review, it seemed like a game that would score at least a 9, but no, its a 8.5.
It seems that it has some really minor issues, like the map not being that friendly, but outside of that, it seemed like it deserved to score higher.
There are even some reviews that states things like complete oposites.IGN says that the enlgish voice actors are excellent, but gamespot says they suck.IGN says that the game teaches you the things gracefully, but gamespot says it is cluster of information that is thrown at you and you have no way to see the tutorials again.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I've always felt those comments of being "too japanese" are a bit ridiculous. I mean, I get them, but it's a japanese game. Should they hide their roots or something? XD. Should they westernize their franchises to make them more appealing to the West? That didn't stop Persona 5 to be one of the best games this generation according to reviewers, and that game was japanese as fuck (I love it btw
).
Good scores so far. It seems like Monolith need to work harder if they want to recapture the magic of the first XC, but XCX was still a great game. Anything comparably good is worth my time.

Agreed.

Heh, tbh, I think that XCX is the better game. XC is fantastic, and it has a way better plot, but in terms of gameplay, world-building, side-quests and everything aside of the main plot, XCX just eats XC alive. But, well, that's just my opinion. And not a very popular one.
