Looks like the domino effect has started. Hopefully the revolt grows bigger and bigger.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

So much talk about loot boxes. Could somebody explain to me just what a loot box is!?!?

I'm glad this is getting attention stateside now, too. I was worried this would only get official attention overseas and the American establishments would ignore it for as long as possible. The sooner we can get something done about it, the better.

Microtransactions, except instead of buying an in-game item you get a randomly selected in-game item/s. Could be a good one that (to some people) is worth the money, or more likely is a pretty shitty one. They're to encourage people to keep paying more and more money either in an effort to get the good things or in order to "catch 'em all", as opposed to regular microtransactions where you buy what you want and only what you want and then don't spend any more money.

AH! Now I understand, they actually have those in Rocket League.

I find it hard to see what the massive problem is then tbh. They arnt manditory and it’s conoletely up to the gamer whether they want to waste their own money on them. I guess if people keep wasting their money on them then developers will keep using them. I play rocket league a lot but never spend and money on those daft boxes.

TallSilhoutte on top of the PSA's today.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Every major mobile and western AAA publisher must be pissed at EA for rocking the gacha/loot crate boat. First they killed franchises, then they killed studios and now they're moved up to (potentially) killing business models. At least this time their greed might actually do some good.

Hahaha, oh man, that 7/10 on screen when he got to BotW... I guess he'll be milking that cow for a while.

Good, it needs to continue.

For example, FIFA is still using a P2W loot box system on Ultimate team and it's falling through the cracks.

Hopefully the Snowball keeps rolling and it goes worldwide. I don't mind cosmetic micro transactions if you have the money and want such things but loot boxes can gtfo.
