falcom announced that next legend of hereos (what will release september 2018) will be the last part of the series...what i didn't find bad so they can try something complete new....

president and CEO Toshihiro Kondo, who shares a few new tidbits of information regarding The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series.  

Here are the quotes:

• “We actually intended to end the series with The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, but we thought it would be tought to end with one title and made a diffuclt decision.”
• “After that sort of ending, I want to release the next title as soon as possible next year.” (By the way, Falcom already announced that the latest entry will be out for PlayStation 4 by September 2018 in Japan.)
• “(The next game) will truly be the last. We’re working for all the mysteries of the Empire Arc to reach the end of the line.”

Its the last game of the Cold Steel arc, or the Legend of Heroes series?

I know.Thats why I asked.It would be strange otherwise.

Yeah, I  only have played the first trails in the sky game.(Not going to play from the first game ever in the series).So I still have like 6 games ahead of me lol

But nice to know.Its great to every once in a while start from a fresh perspective.

Technically since 1984. LoH is spun off from Dragon Slayer. (first ever Jrpg in 1984 and it was an  Action RPG)

I still don't understand the differences between Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel myself.

Just different sagas.AS far as I know, they tell different stories but happens in the same world(so they are related, but not really)

Ah, OK. I don't know why I have such a hard time remembering that.

Off topic, but I hope part 3 on the PS4 gets a release date soon.
