(I have my doubt on this one since it was released on Xmas, awarded as hell, without any competition, and mostly appeal hardcore gamers who already have a Xbox360)

Forza3 : I doubt it will appear for 08, but IF it does, then it becomes THE system seller.

Banjo/kazooie : if Rare succeeds to create more hype around this "famous" and respected serie

Why would by a 360 for Gears 2 or Forza 3 that wouldn't buy one for Gears or Forza 2?

Unless they both have vast improvements over their predecessors, I can't see them doing much.

Not really , it's very hardcore and it has features that will usually not attract the masses ( like a story that probably was written on the back of a mac donalds napkin by some guy that was probably high on at least 3 differents drugs..). Seriously, there are CIA agents in NG2 lol.......... You know that weird empire where most of NG took place, well it seems it's actually in this real world, I'm still looking for it though...( NG2 has chapters taking place on top of the statue of liberty too...).

It's a great game if you like that kind of games though ( which I do).

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Although one is a remake, and the another was on the xbox which didn't sell many consoles in Japan. But going by those numbers, Ninja Gaiden isn't very mainstream in Japan. Maybe the NES games were, but not now.

My dominant word there is more. Its for the sake of argument of the OT, MS will hope it will push relatively more systems than normal in Japan, but its not a system seller elsewhere.

Japan Ninja Gaiden Sigma first week sales: 44k, total 90k

Japan Gears of War first week sales: 34k, total 80k

Imagine if it was this ratio in the rest of the world.

Ninja Gaiden is definitely a hard core gamers dream. It's not a system seller, but you might see a slight boost because the huge amount of hype it's producing.

You'll definitely have some people buy it not realizing the difficulty of the game, but for the most part, it will be for hard core gamers. It's a combo/timing intensive game.
