every time i try to get the update it says the download failed my friend gets the same problem has this happened to any of you because i cant play the games online or use GT tv because i havent got the update

"every time i try to get the update it says the download failed"

HAd the same problem The servers here in GErmany were very fragile. You have to be persistent, he doesn't start always from the beginning but saves previous downloads. Also if you go into the GT-TV the download is a bit more stable (don't ask me why). So after a couple of tries I had finished the download.
