"every time i try to get the update it says the download failed"
HAd the same problem The servers here in GErmany were very fragile. You have to be persistent, he doesn't start always from the beginning but saves previous downloads. Also if you go into the GT-TV the download is a bit more stable (don't ask me why). So after a couple of tries I had finished the download.
