I have not seen a 1st party gamecube controller in stores for over 2-3 years, but today I was in GS and low and behold they had 6 silver 1st party GC controllers!!! I bought 2 of them and now I have 3 GC controllers and a classic to use for brawl.

 Is this an isolated event or is Nintendo finally producing GC controllers again...

 I also picked up Paper Mario:TtYD for 19.99, I never played it, and am considering get the Wii version.

I'm pretty sure they have been producing them non stop over the years, i have always been able to find them in stores that have GC games like wal-mart or TRU. They were also right next to Brawl/wii's in stores when brawl launched.

No, about 2 years ago I was trying to find one everywhere... The people at GS said nintendo discontinued them. Today was the first time in over 2 years I have seen one anywhere.

Don't know how it is where you live, but in Japan white GC controllers are being released this month.

yay woot I plan on grabbing a couple for brawl and mario kart .....playing brawl wears down your joy sticks fast :/

You lucky lucky person!TTYD is my most wanted to play game, and I do not have a GCN memory card or controller in the first place.Lets see if I will be able to enjoy it sometime soon...

i still got my original 4 controllers (1wireless and 3 with wire :D) but the problem is, my wireless one just got destroyed by me playing melee. the analoge stick lost its cover (all thanks to me :P)

Why not make wavebirds. I really need one. I'm too much used to wireless to go back to the old Gamecube controllers now.

Wow @ Paper Mario TYD. I've been looking for that game for a while now, but it's really scarce. It cost €40  2nd hands here, that's too much.
