Oh trust me I feel the same. He only reason I haven't really ripped into it the way I really want to is because I respect the series so much. I'm reserving a LOT of judgement until I play it myself.

That said, Kos-mos in that art style looks pretty bad.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 reviews are up, 83 with 24 reviews on Metacritic, 87 with 20 reviews on OpenCritic, dang my prediction was way off lol.

So basically at this point:

1. Xenoblade Chronicles 92% (and 86% on the re-release)

Given that critics are usually pretty harsh with this series since it is more niche than other games (as in it appeals very strongly to a specific subset of gamers, and we can hardly comprehend the lower scores) an 85% is probably more like a 91-94% for us. But who knows, we'll see.

Xenogears, in particular, is kind of like Earthbound, it doesn't appeal to everyone, but for those it does, the game is a 98-99%.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has similar critical patterns to Xenoblade Chronicles X, there are wildly different review scores. In this case, everywhere from 70% to 95%. Xenoblade Chronicles X had 50% to 96% (actually many sources gave it 95 and 96, but it got dragged down by the troll scores).

Now up to 85.

so guys,i beat the game like,4 hours ago,and i just want to say,it's a really good game.Most of you already know that,cause monolith is a good developer(much better than square this days)but it really is captivating.The combat is complex but compeling when you learn how to handle it right,and the story gets better and better with time(it's not the best jrpg plot of history or anything like that,but it's remarkable for sure).

Overall,is a really cool game with likable characters,and that's all i want from a xenoblade game.Just wanted to share this here.

Edit: i have the game since monday.Since nintendo isn't in brazil,we buy stuff from the gray market.So sometimes(like this)games show before release there.It was probably stolen from somewhere,but what you gotta do.

It's likely a Middle Eastern copy the street date over there was broken last week.

Question for one that has beat the game.

Would you recommend getting the expansion pass now to get the early game items? You know the:

– 50,000G
– 3 cream orange paratas (pouch items)
– 10 silver cylinders
– 5 common core crystals

They all look like items that are pretty pointless imo. But maybe they would alleviate some grinding and thus make the game more enjoyable.
