Forums - Gaming - BLACK FRIDAY: who will win of the big 3?

Honestly could go either way. I expect each console to sell over a million this month in just the US alone, so I image lots of $$$ at stake.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Trying hard to do what? People only say that when they have nothing of value to say but still feel the need to say something.

Basic numbers tracked on this site and given out by official numbers are 99% of the time US, EU, JP, and WW.

People who bring up "rest of the world" knowing that the result will not only have little to no impact on the grand total, but also not have any concrete numbers released, only say that in a feeble attempt to downplay the sales of a console that is generally killing it in most of the four regions that make up most of of the grand total.

See what I did there?

No because you're obviously wrong. This site also tracks RotW numbers. Also, rest of the world is a bigger market than Japan. This was true for the PS2, PSP, PS3 and is true for the PS4. You say we have no concrete numbers - we do not have concrete numbers for EU either and yet I do not see you discounting that.

PS4 by a few hundred thousand units. guess we'll find out next february.....

It's a me , Mario !

Its not like it released on black friday...... so that day wont sell anymore for nintendo than any other day, unless theres some special offers or such.

Meanwhile there a PS4 1tb model for 190-199$. The price its at in black friday will cause its sales to jump.

Im not talking the entire month, sales wise for npd.... this thread is just about black friday.

Without special offers on the switch, I dont see why its sales should jump alot that day.

Since tons of people are out shopping that day, Nintendo would still have good reason to allocate a good amount of those 9m+ Switches they plan to ship by March on black friday. We know they are gonna be sending in Switches via plane, so maybe this is why. The demand is certainly there for Switch to sell over a million in a single week with or without deals, so really it all depends on how much they decide to spread out their stock over the holidays.

I think SONY PS4 will sell more in every region (and worldwide) except Japan where Nintendo Switch will sell more than PS4.

Europe - PS4
USA - Switch
WW - PS4

This is going to be a tough call. PS4 has legacy, Switch has innovation, and MS has XB1X.

Worldwide, I'm guessing that Xbox will come 2nd or 3rd. PS4 will be 1st or 2nd and Switch will be 1st or 2nd. It depends on if Switch has enough stock in place. If so, then Switch. If not, then PS4. Xbox is a wild card.

PS4 will win Europe. Switch will win Japan.

Surprised people aren't saying Xbox. Last year people where saying hey had the holidays locked up because of that.

Everyone that thinks the Switch will sell the most on "BLACK FRIDAY" can you answear why?

Is there going to be a price cut/special offer? something to make it sell more that day/those days?

Because PS4/XB1 are going down to the 190$ ish range.
Which should make them sell much more then.

Tell me a high demand console that didn't win a Black Friday (barring stock issues).

Demand and stock will dictate who wins.  Right now, demand is Nintendo and they've bumbped their shipments up considerably.

On the flip side, tell me why Switch needs a price cut to compete.

The PS4.

The PS4.

I asked for a reason why it needs a price cut to compete.   That's not a reason.

You asked for a console in demand that did not win.
