PS4 #1 on Hourly
PS4 #9 on Monthly
BEAST

Where's the monthly ranking thing? I tried to find it on Amazon and couldn't

On the right you just have to click Best Sellers of 2017.  Then, you have to edit the url with -X, with X being the number of the month, after 2017.

Here's a link just for quick access.

Would the Switch have won without the launch advantage though?

Yes Lawlight, no matter how much you downplay the Switch, it would have.

Nuance really does not win in this thread. It's okay to cheer for your favorite company but the point of that comment was both are doing great.

Yeah, both are doing great. But no, the Switch wouldn’t have.

The fact that the Black Friday deal lasts til the 27th of this month scares me!

If Sony manages to keep the supply flowing, hooooly shit.

EDIT: I would like to see the aligned sales next month for the PS4 vs PS2.

Yea i just came to realize that this deal started the 19th and goes all the way until the 27th. That gives it a 4 day head start on the XB1 and of course its $100 cheaper than the Switch. PS4 might pull it off.

Yeah, lets see how the Xbox One S performs at 199$

I think the Xbox One X will become a Non-Factor once the X1S deal starts, and will keep declining in the charts progresively.

My guess is the PS4 is going to be in the Monthly Top 5 when it updates next. Then, possibly #2 after the next update.

You don't really have any proof of that, but it's a stupid hypothetical anyways. I shouldn't even have to explain why. The comparison is neither fair for the PS4 or the Switch, when I said that the PS4 had a two month advantage I only said that because another user responded to a ridiculously hyperbolic pro-Nintendo comment by saying the PS4 is beating the Switch. I was only bringing it up as a counterpoint, because really no comparison is fair. We can either judge based on yearly performance or launch-aligned(in which case the Switch is losing). It's an interesting comparison but focusing on hypotheticals is pointless.

i'm gonna call it now if switch and ps4 are close on amazon, ps4 will win by at least 500k.

April May June July August... You forgot those months right? Yes you did!

As for Sept that month was suppose to go with ps4. We all thought that (most) and supply came at the last week.

Oct as shadow pointed out that number result is vwry good despite many of us predicting higher numbers.

Anyway keep goal posting, its your style

Not forgetting them but the past 2 month shows that shortages weren’t as big as it seemed. You probably had to preorder the Switch to get one but it was not a case of it being impossible to get.

September went to the Switch with a lead of what, 20k? All the backorders were filled in the last week. You’d think that a system facing big shortages would have huge sales numbers as it finally came on the market but not really.

As for October, let me ask you - why did you predict such a high number? Over 170k lead on the PS4 as it were?

You do know that the switch had no business winning September? PS4 had two juggernaut releases, destiny 2 and NBA 2k18. Madden also released right at the end of august, aligning it for a big September. While the Switch only had a pokken port. Switch pulled off an upset in September, if anything.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

They would have won without the shortages

What if there were no shortages, it had Jan and Feb, BUT was in its 4th year and cost $249?  We can all move goal posts.

I like how its me moving goal post lol.

Check mate!

Never thought I'd see the day you'd take the moral high ground on this xD

Check mate again!

This thread has lit up since the ps4 hit 199.

Comg is boring now. This is my new daily thread xD

Not if you're a PlayStation. Fan.

OT

I'm super excited to see who wins November.  Will it be the ps4 plus membership or will it be the ps4. Great battle going on between the top 2.

The sales rate of the standard PS4 must be very high considering that it has traded places with the PS+ membership card a few times today.
