Forums - Nintendo - UK: SMO biggest launch ever for NS and even WiiU! Switch over 300k HW

it's not great when you compare it to the other two, it's not much above a third of PS4 over the same period

not sure what doesn't resonate in the UK when it comes to Nintendo. Will be curious to see how it performs next year, where it seems like if there are any big hitters released, it will be in the fall. Having Jan-Sept with only Kirby and Yoshi will likely mean some very underwhelming sales in the UK, at least comparatively.

Didn't Xbox One and PS4 both have holiday seasons though? That's how I read it. If so then 300k isn't a bad start especially when a majority of sales came from a historically slower period.

LOL. Not a chance!

Really? MS underestimated the demand, and Switch hasn't even sold half a mill here. Unless i am wrong, someone let me know.

It may have the chance to outsell the Switch initially, due to high demand and built up hype but you really think a high end niche product is going to outsell the Switch long term? I doubt even the whole Xbox family will outsell the Switch when all is said and done in the U.K.

X1X will outsell the Switch here.

You 2 have a lot of imagination, that's not gonna happen.

Your imagination must be running wild if you think that's what they would only release in 9 months during 2018.

only games on that level I mean. There isn't going to be a big game in the first half of next year, we would know about it already.

Just first party titles or third party too?

In any case, what about Fire Emblem? It's supposed to release next year too after all.

If we include third party titles, how about Project Octopath Traveller and Travis strikes again: No more Heroes?
