Forums - General - The Internet has changed

Back in the day I could make a decent joke without 20 people jumping on me. I'd get maybe 1 or 2 dislikes and 15 likes. Damn, now I know it isn't me lol.

There was a news section that posted a Battle Royal game of over 400 players. Someone posted "We need this, if we don't continue growing we would have stayed with Pac-man" to which I replied "Remind me when pac-man added 40 ghosts" and hot damn did people jump on that. Really no agenda on my part. One guy did have a good reply though, he said "play Pac-man DX edition".

Haha, but the dude replied "Are you serious, did you not get the point I was making? Let me explain it simply, one person makes a game then someone else comes and improves upon the formula." People are taking things way to serious now days, where is Health Ledger when you need him.. Damn that's depressing.

Cheer up! In 100 years we won't be here, but our posts will live on in the internet archive. :)

I can feel it in the water. I can feel it in the earth. Much what once was, is now forgotten.

I've seen a lot worse.

The internet is the same as it's always been. There's just a lot more people on it

The internet is a reflection of culture and we have shifted to extremes and loudest voices being heard.

People who are now mainstream would have been fringe elements 20 years ago. All about conflict, outrage, and emotion in discourse these days.
