Forums - Gaming - Super Mario Odyssey will help Nintendo take November from Microsoft. Sony wont slouch either.

Who do you think will sell more units this holiday?

Nintendo 363 68.11%

Microsoft 26 4.88%

Sony 144 27.02%

Total:533

Yeah! Nintendo can win the US

Who ever wins is not important. 2018 is the year of PS4 anyways.

Mat wéivill klatzen?

With how well the Switch is selling and the fact that it will be the fifth year for the PS4, I doubt it will be Sonys year. I much rather think the the PS4 has reached it's zenith this year and will start dropping while the Switch, no more as constrained in it's sales as it was this year, will beat the Playstation.

I'll say Sony only because Nintendo's not gonna be able to keep up with stock, no matter what they've claimed.

Uh, sales are higher for MS around the holidays because they're higher for everyone around the holidays, lol. Because it's the holidays...

I know this... but that's also when teens and kids have things purchased for them as gifts the most as well. Yes... all around they sell well,  but it's always been interesting to me how micoroft lost years to Sony last gen and still won November npds in general.

Obvious answer is Nintendo, mainly thanks to this years line up of games. The only problem I foresee is that they won't be able to sell as many consoles as they want, unless they already sorted all that stuff with Foxconn and Apple. I think Sony will take 2nd place and shrug about it. They have GTS, COD and Star Wars, that's gonna sell a lot of consoles. And then like in the past 2 years they take over Q1/Q2 with their first party/console exclusive games.

MS is pretty much in a no win situation until Halo 6, Ori and Sea of Thieves. Unless they manage push out PUBG in the fall, which could turn the tables a bit.

And all the other consoles get lots of toys sold to kiddies as well.

Maybe Xbox sells more because they usually load their marketing wads for the holidays and blow it off then. And they typically have better Black Friday deals imho.

In terms of sales

Sony>Nintendo>Microsoft

Sony's third party marketing deals are gonna be the key factor.

Not really sure what ELEX is either, but anyways...

I don't think the Switch will be able to beat the PS4 even with the success we've been seeing with the console. The PS4 will continue to have great sales I feel, but the Switch will as well. I think it could end up being sold out again for a little while in certain regions. Xbox I think will still do well regardless.

Agreed. All the other consoles get sold to kids as well but Microsofts percentage boosts are rather rare. They go from being the least desired monthly in a region to the most desired item. With minecraft that's going to increase imho.

Sony? They absolutely could. But Nintendo? Seems like wishful thinking at this point.
