Forums - General - Nelly arrested over rape accusation

You know make me wonder... are you trying to defend this creepy dude ?

Just asking. I don't know you people, perhaps you are a fan of R. Kelly instead.

1. He was arrested for allegations of rape, he hasn't been convicted.

2. Yeah the videos are wierd, but that doesn't make him pedo.

He's a black rapper, who had a THOT in his tour bus at 3 A.M. She was likely there looking for some, now taking advantage of the situation.

I'll wait to hold judgement until there are more details.

Too bad for you I'm black. So don't play the racist card here.

Huh? I wasn't attacking you.

My bad I thought it was a direct hit.

Edited the title.
Sorry for the problem

The video made uncomfortable and I didn't want to continue watching it. However, it doesn't prove anything. I think calling him a pedo without any evidence isn't wise of you.

Nelly is black. That in and of itself is incrimating evidence. The burden of proof is on Nelly, so he has to provide evidence that he isn't a pedo.

He's also a rapper :/

But not a great one.

There are no great rappers.

Considering this type of very famous guy can get laid as much as he want with almost anyone I see very little reason for him to rape someone.

Because I don't see how this is humorous, I'd like for you to explain this one.

That's the impression I get from the news about the USA. Well, the little I hear about it. Apparently there was an incident where a player from the Seattle Seahawks was near an area with reported gunshots and police officers threw him to the ground and put a gun to his head before doing anything else. The premise of "guilty until proven otherwise" seems to be a real thing for black people in the USA. This "guilty until proven otherwise" is implied in the sentence you removed from my quote.

Yeah ... not really. Our media just overblows and exaggerates the issue because race relations is the most popular topic of the past few years. There are obvious times where something unjust happens due to race, but that's the same for pretty much every country. Even if it happens dispraportionately in the US, it's not like guilty until proven innocent is actually something that applies to black people. I wouldn't even say that's true most of the time.

Honestly .. when are we going to stop pretending like the US is the worst country on earth?

Without context, that sounds pretty bad. The second part doesn't really fix it (especially since he's the accused, not the accuser, so burden of proof isn't on him). That is why I needed to hear an explanation.

As for race relations in the US, not all black people face racial injustices and there isn't anything that gives an indication that that is what's happening here, either.

You need to be in the outside looking in I guess? It's definitely an image the American media portrays, regardless of how accurate it is.
