When they go low, we go lower.

Who's Richard Dawkins? Whoever he is, a very classless and horrible post.

BTW, CBS just fired their Vice President because she posted on Facebook that the victoms of this attacks deserve no symphothy because most likely being country music fans they are gun toting republicans.

Rightfully so. It's like some people completely ignore that not only Republicans are gun owners. I myself own multiple guns and I'm an Independent. Everyone in my family owns at least one fire arm and none of us are Republican.

The big question is: what causes that sort of insanity?

Which insantiy?  The shooters or the acceptance of dead kids?

The mental stability of shooters is simply something we do not put near enough resources into understanding, diagnosing and treating.

As for the other insanity?  Lack of empathy, faux Christianity, egotism, irrational fear....

I mean this crazy gun idolization. It's like the Siberians and their perfume drinking, except worse.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

So guys two of my close friends were at the MGM yesterday and left about 2 hours before the shooting. Why can't we just be sensible about guns? If we want to have accessibility to the public we need real responsible measures to protect ourselves from insane people or we are going to just give them a free licence to kill. I just don't accept that we have to be at their mercy. My friends were there for a birthday and our right to life supersedes everyone's right to murder. We aren't so week that we can't take preemptive actions to protect ourselves. Gun controls, background checks... I don't care we have to do something.

What do you propose would have prevented this? I am only guessing based on what I heard, but it sounded like the guy had a fully-automatic weapon. These are illegal/inaccessible for the overwhelming majority of Americans, and require extensive (6 month long) background checks. They also cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Furthermore, any automatic weapons produced after 1986 are illegal to own by civilians, and can only be manufactured for military purposes.

Are you trying to defend him or attack me for wanting something to be done.  Nothing that you said changes the fact that people are dead.  I would have real laws to go after and track illegal weapons.  Obviously it wasn't hard for him to find right? What is actually wrong with you?  Gun control isn't about taking everyone's guns. It's about control and we have none right bone.  I am sick of the 'Oh well' mentality.

Still crazy to think half of America still want everyone with guns. These shootings will only get worse.

Give up (a) freedom for a few mass shootings a year?

Las Vegas mass shooting is 273rd of 2017

Gun Violence Archive, a website that tracks incidents and crimes involving guns across the United States, said Sunday night's attack was the 273rd mass shooting in the country this year.

It defines a "mass shooting" as four or more people being shot at the same time or location.

It said in the first 275 days of the year there had been 273 mass shootings in 36 different US states.

I prefer countries where freedom isn't associated with guns

Thats because the people with sense understand the idiot Democrats will immedietly go off on some tangent about banning guns. The latest is on Silencers, even though a Silencer has absolutly nothing to do with this issue, its a bill they have on the floor and will use whatever they can to get it through.

What's more studpid, the left wanting to ban silencers or the right actually removing regulations blocking the mentally ill from buying guns like they did in Jan?

By the way, Democrats are not trying to ban silencers.  The current House bill is by Republicans to remove the background check, photo and $200 transfer tax requirement on silencers.  You don't know even know what the bill is or which party presented it.

I was refering to Hillarys statement on banning silencers as well as other Democrats shitting from their mouths today. Im not against mentally ill peope not being able to possess guns however I do want to make sure that people arent just being labeled that way unjustly. I am for Background checks as well as photo ID. Im not for more money in tax for no reason. I am also for photo ID for voting as well.

I would like to ask those who are against gun control: What WOULD be convincing evidence for you that gun control would be a good idea? It seems no matter what proof people show you, you still deny that the easy access to guns is related to these brutal mass murders.

The autists of the internet think they identified him in an Anti-Trump protest, do you think it is him (pink NASA shirt and pussy hat)? Media confirmed the shooter was a former employee of Lockheed martin, a company that has exclusive contracts with Nasa.

Two women go up to him and it sounds like one of them says 'Hey Steve.' (very faint)

Americas problems lie with its gun culture, not the fact it has so many guns. Canada and Switzerland have just as many guns, but we don't see violent shootings at the likes. Quick thing, regulating guns won't do dick sadly in getting this issue fixed in America. Frankly, I just don't see a solution to this in the ending.

But its still early days in this investigation, so I hope some people don't try to fight about the political aspects of it so soon. Hopefully the death count won't go up, and I'm praying for those who have been affected by this piece of shit TERRORIST.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Tell me, how many must die before we as a nation consider better gun control? Does it need to be personal family before we care?

This country just doesn't give a damn about people. They keep proving it. Over and over and over again.  War, guns, poverty, incarcerations...apparently, "ALL" lives don't matter.

Maybe instead of trying to mitigate the symptom as the main goal (i.e. having people commit mass murder with other weapons instead of guns), we should try to understand why people are driven to commit such heinous acts in the first place, and try to approach the situation from that angle? To try to stop the attempt from even happening.

Kind of hard to figure out why they do what they do when they never live to tell their story.  If anything they are not looking to tell their story as they want to go down in a blaze of bullets.

America is way pass gun control.  There is only 2 ways to do it.  No guns period or just leave it as is or everyone should just be packing, from your middle to high school students, teachers, McDonald worker you name it.  Turn back to the wild wild west and let GOD sort them out later.

Well I doubt it was a Trump supporter considering the venue of choice.
