Forums - Nintendo - Quick switch question

Hey guys some help would be appreciated here i was just wondering if the Nintendo Switch activity Log still tracked hours played when offline? First time ive used it extensively with no wifi and i would be disappointed if it didnt track my game time 😐

It does.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Well i'd hope so! Why wouldn't it?

I do wish we had more specific times like Wii U ... how can Nintendo not even get THIS right with the switch? Lmao

The app can only do it if you're connected, so somehow people feel like it's the same with the Switch's own tracker.

I thought the app was actually more precise. I play offline at work and it still records the playtime. Certain games I've never played at home (ie: Rayman) have recorded times on the Switch Parental Control app.

The Switch play log doesn't even acknowledge certain games I've played until I reach like five hours. Until then, it says "a few minutes".

Well, it's obviously more precise but it has never tracked my play time when I'm not connected.

The system will actually record your hours or how long you've played the game when you've reached the tenth day(or after, can't remember) since playing the game because prior to that, it will only say the time when you've started the game.

Edit: Btw, it only records in a 5hr increment.

After you've owned a game for more than 10 days, you can look on your profile to see how long you've played a game. It only gives you intervals of 5 hours however... so it is not as fleshed out as the Wii or the Wii U.

Yeah I know, im trying to see if it still tracks when playing with no internet connection. IE like when on holiday. The wii u one was great, this one is abit rubbish lol
