There are two possible ways it could fail, saleswise and qualitywise. Sales will probably be difficult due to the releases of MGS4 and GTA4, but from what I've seen it should be a decent game. Personally I like the idea of fighting both sides of the same war, and if it weren't PS3 exclusive I would definitely pick it up.

I agree with the Too Human/ Haze comparison.
Both titles are of dubious quality as of the moment. Either could turn out great, or both could flop.

Coming into this generation, I adopted the 360 because of the PS3's price point and lack of quality titles. However, since then I've left the black box (my elite) and have adopted the PS3, something I didn't even think I'd ever do (and am glad I did). I hadn't even heard of Haze until I started surfing the web and saw articles on the game. Saw Free Radical was developing it and thought "Hot s***, I love the TimeSplitters games!" So I dug deeper and just can't quite grab on to the hype train for this game. I can understand that through so many delays people have lost interest and this could sabotage the title's sales. I doubt it'll be mediocre or disappointing, unless you're looking for something better than Halo (though I've lost interest in Halo). I hope it doesn't fail as I respect FR as a developer. As someone commented on Lair being a failure, it's sad that it is. Contrary to critics' opinions on the title, I absolutely love it. So much for reliable journalism.

Are we talking Halo 1 or halo 3 here? If Halo 1, awesome. Halo 3? Great, mediocre single player "saved" by its slightly less mediocre, though admittedly sometimes awesome, multiplayer. |

Haze will be an average single player "saved" by its slightly better, though admittedly sometimes very good, multiplayer.
Time to Work !
You know what the real problem is. People who visit all these videogamewebsites have a slight tendency to say what everyone else had said before, or even just supporting the guy who stated the 1st opinion. I think Haze can be really good and I only think that the delay was seriously needed and a bit wise too, considering the fact it was about to be released together with several others FPS.
But a good demo of the game and some good advertisement (for example Turok, not a great game, but it did sell well) will certainly give this title extra sales.
I haven't played the game, but considering the information I read about this game I still feel it's an interesting game, which can certainly become very good.

Agreed.
I'm a little shocked that certain PS3 fanboys are shooting this game down, when the usual would be for them to put PS3 exclusives on a pedastal and then have them be shot down by MS or Ninty fanboys when they turn out to be less than perfection. Maybe they are learning? or are they just hyping KZ2?
Personally, I can't wait for the final copy to be released, it'll prove people right and it'll shut others up, either way. I'm in the camp of "I think the lack of attention is a good thing, gives the developer a chance to make a great game that won't be eaten up by the hype i.e Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Lair..."
Yer i hope it flops big time.
Last thing I want is another thumbstick controller based FPS. Past success just encourages developers to keep churning out more of the same crap which i have not the least interest in. !

You might be right as 3 of their 8 10s ever given came in 2007, Halo 3, Orange Box and Super Mario Galaxy.
But oddly they scored the last 2 Halo games 10, they still are pretty harsh, Mario Kari Wii got a 6, but then Burnout Paradise got a 9.
Hmm, pie.

I haven't been following Haze much, but Too Human has started getting awesome previews.
Sales-wise we must wait and see.
