Capcom hasn’t done a whole lot with Mega Man in recent years. The series has seen a couple of retro collections, but not much else. Fans might be concerned about Mega Man’s future, but Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya recently tried to put those fears to rest.

Tsuchiya said at the Tokyo Game Show last week:

“I want to say that Capcom has not forgotten about Rockman. This (30th anniversary logo) here is being put to good use. Rockman’s 30th anniversary is coming in December – December, please remember that date!

I personally don't think they are going to do anything interesting with it for the anniversary (if they do anything at all). They still have to announce the Legacy Collection 2 for the 3DS/Switch when the 3DS one sold on par with the other versions, if not more. Maybe they will bring something to tie in to the animated show, but if that's the case, I expect Sonic Boom levels of efford.

I just want an HD version of the Megaman Zero Collection. Is that so much to ask for? :(

If its another fan project for the PC only they decide to get in on, Ill scream...

God damn, how I want X to come back, but knowing Capcom and the treatment they have been giving to Megaman the lasr 7 years, I expect a pachinko game or something of the kind to be announced december to celebrate the anniversary.

Capcom has not forgotten about Megaman, they have just left him in a state of perpetual limbo.
