Well, it says that you can use one of the USB ports to connect a keyboard, so I doubt it's functional. And as small as the keys are, it wouldn't be practical anyways if they were.

I looked up the site, it seems all games use the supplied joystick only and it has some extra buttons on it, so the keyboard is probably non functional. That makes me wonder why the replica is so large - you could just put the mainboard into the joystick .
I hate that these retro machines are "Mini". Can I has the real thing with QoL features like modern inputs, HDMI etc?

Never heard of it... looks familiar though so probably just can't remember. It's way before my time anyways.
Only games I remember playing on this is Hero, text games like Zork & Hitchhiker's Guide, and the Empire Strikes Back.

Well unless someone told me about it or I had to learn it somewhere, I wouldn't actively question it and look it up. Although I just looked it up now and heard that it never caught on in Europe the way it did in the US so that's probably the reason why, well other than the fact it came out in 1982.

It was very popular in Europe (yeah, I'm that old), but competition was stiffer than in US - Europe had ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC 464 as well.
It was very good machine for its time, with a lot of great games and some genres not found on consoles and (what is now called indies) lot of bedroom/garage developers.
