You can't really do a week to week comparison due to the differents time of the year at which they were released but if you look at the numbers, the weekly sales of the PS3 in others post holydays are actually higher than the sales of the PS2 past its first big holyday ( but the PS2 had a bigger first holyday than the PS3 so it kinda evens out).

Things are totally different in Japan and NA but in Others the PS3 actually still has a shot of doing as well as the PS2....

Well Europe is Sony's best market.

It needs more attention from Sony, there is still lots of potential for the PS3 in there.

Sony brandpower is quite strong in "Others", it will always be the case.

The thing is different in Japan, let's see what will happen when a RPG game comes out. Say.. by the end of April.

as for US, Microsoft will hold for quite sometimes. PS3 is doing quite well actually, but don't expect PS3 to outsellf 360 in US (install base wise) for a very long time, if ever.
