I'm not sure but I think the PS3 might outsell the 360 in Japan this time .
Good for PS3, great for Wii. Very good sales overall.
When GTA IV comes, I think it will sell a lot more PS3s than 360s. The game will sell better on 360, nevertheless.

how much better for sony it would have been if gta iv would have launched after metal gear solid 4

Its outsold it for 2 weeks in a row now and even then the margin between the two is 3-4k and thats no where near enough to derail Microsofts seven million lead. But I wont deny the fact that the Blu-ray victory has really proprelled the PS3 in North America.

The Wii may be over tracked but keep in mind that my Costco got 2 shipments of Wii last week (the 2nd one didn't quite sell out) and that has never happened before. The bundles also included Wii Play and SMG so if all Costco's got this that should be somewhere around 15,000 for the system and those 2 games, just at Costco. If Costco got the Wii twice, then other non-major sellers of Wii like Sams Club, BJs, Hastings may have also got some Wiis. The number seems reasonable.
It's nice to see both DS and PSP sales increase.
