But didn't H1Z1 do it first?
So what do they hope to accomplish with this? Surely they can't expect PUBG to be the only game in its genre for the rest of eternity?
I think they are concerned because fornite mode can be better than them really fast... My only issue is that EPIC should not use PUBG in the "advertising" for fortnite. If they do they should stop...

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
It's an interesting thought. I mean if this was say board games and someone made a reskinned Monopoly, they would get sued and the game would never see light of day.
Yet in video games, there are copy cats everywhere. A new creative game or mode comes out and there are soon hundreds. Case in point some form of Zombie mode, or this topic.
Seems their big issue is with Epic specifically mentioning PUBG when promoting the Fortnite ripoff mode.
Oh well, doesn't matter to me. I'll play the Fortnite mode until the real deal comes out.
PUBG simply dominated twitch. I thought I would never see a game that could overcome the number of players views of League of Legends (although at times LoL switch the 1st place with PUBG).
Can you really copyright a game mode?
