Remember how Pokken on the Wii U outsold S.F 5?

 

Well here's my thinking. 

 

Both DX and Infinite release this week. 

Pokemon is popular

Pokken does not have negative hype around itself

Infinite does

Switch 1st party sells very well

 

With that in mind, are we going to see another case of Pokken outcompeting a major Capcom fighter? 



The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Maybe. There's definitely a number of factors stacking up in Pokken's favor. It's Pokemon, it's already a proven title, Switch users are hungry for a game outside of Zelda, MK8D, and Splatoon 2...

Well Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is a multiplat, but If you include the Wii U version of Pokkén then maybe, although I have no clue what to expect with Infinite's sales

I wouldn't be surprised if it did, MvCI does not have a good word-of-mouth right now. Who knows though, tomorow I guess we'll know what the Metascore is.

By VC chartz numbers Injustice 2 sold .9 and .43 units in total between the two consoles. That's 1.33 total, which .15 of the 1.18 that ARMS sold in a short period of time. 

ARMS made up that difference in just July 29th week alone with .35 million units sold.

Pokken has hype? 🤔



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I think Pokken will sell either on par with MvC or a bit more, in the long run.
