Designed by Akira Toriyama?
Intelligence comparable to Dr. Gero?
Story seems to somewhat revolve around her and 16 being together?
Sequentially after Dr. Gero? (Dr. Gero is Android 20)

Android 21 is probably either Dr. Gero's wife or daughter. Android 16 is based off of Dr. Gero's son.

Character looks really well designed too.

I agree! This is making me hyped for the game. Very well designed and Android 16 has always been a fantastic character. For me the Android and Cell saga is the highlight of the Dragon Ball universe and my favorite saga. Still the others from DBZ but that one really stands out to me and having this game focus on that is a really selling point in my eyes. Honestly all the Gods stuff going on right now and multiple different universes is really over-rated imho. I'm so hyped to play as Android 18 and Cell with these amazing animations!

I fell pretty much the same way. Those sagas got me into DBZ. I've been a bit more relaxed on Super recently because its trying to approach fighting more technial based now so it is a bit refreshing in that aspect, but defintely isn't at the level I want it to be.

Also thinking about it now, 21 is defintely Dr. Gero's wife. I am looking back and noticing she has a ring on her finger.

Android 21 looks cute but she doesn't even come close to the greatness that is Android 18.

Black goku , the destruction god and wiss are great IMO, this one does not look like belongs to dragon ball in my opinion.

But i agree , super have terrible designs for the male villains in the trournment they have now, the females not so much, i like almost all of female designs they made.

Also the new goku transformation looks amazing imo.

Yeah Goku Black im gonna have to pass on, but the Whis and his kind are all good designs.

Well there aren't that many female fighters designed by Toriyama.
Aside from #18 there was pretty much only Videl and Chi Chi. And the latter didn't really fight anyone.

There's the filler character Zangya they could use.



And from Super they could use Caulifla and Kale.
But it's pretty slim pickings I think. Perhaps they'll find ways to add some non-martial artists like Mai and Lunch, but I doubt it.

I think they are going to be more focused on the roaster and use more iconic characters. I mean in that case they could also use the Snake Queen or go crazy with Bulma but I can't see those ever happening.

Realistically two very good choices would be Chi-Chi who was a bad ass in Dragon Ball and Videl who is one of the most skilled human fighters outside of Krillian, Tien, Yamcha, and Master Roshi. She's not a Chi-Chi's level but she's got potential. It seems that Akira Toriyama weakens his women once they get pregnant. This is is true with EVERY female in the Dragon Ball universe and Android 18 is the #1 example of that. While I haven't seen Dragon Ball Super but after what I heard about how he treated Android 18 next to Android 17 I'm kinda of pissed off. 18 > 17 anytime any day out of the twin Androids.

Honestly I'd love to see characters like Master Roshi, Chi-Chi, and other classics take the spot light in a DBZ fighting game. I'm so excited for this game suddenly and that last DBZ fighting games I truly loved were the first two Budokai games and debatably one of the best "Super Sonic Warriors" which captures the feel and look of true DBZ combat unlike the console fighting games.
