Just to shut this idiotic conversation.

No collective opinions can't be taken as objective or fact no matter the size of the sample.

If you picked 1 Million people (or even physicist) at Einstein time before the relativity or photoelectric effect or quantum physics or anything like that they would all say it was wrong yet a single person was right. Facts and science doesn't bend to majority or minority, but to what truly is demonstrable (and that can change after sometime).

This is not idiotic, it's actually a good conversation to have.

You're the only one brushing it off like it was so black and white. Let the people exchange, for God's sake.

It is idiotic to try and convey subjetive argument into facts. And is a fallacy.

It is constructive to challenge established opinions. As I said, let it go.

What makes you think you're challenging established opinions?

So you challenge the "opinion" that "opinion doesn't equal facts" by saying they do and trying to disguisse it as multiple people opinion becoming objective and not subjective? Yes, make hell of sense.

From in house perspective, Nintendo wins.
Adding 3rd party exclusives, PS4 wins.
Overall, the PS4 has had an okay year but I just find their first party lacking a bit. If it weren't for 3rd party, they would have lost it for me.

Their 2nd party was great as well. Not really fair to take out or add variables here. In the exclusives department, it's undeniable that PS4 wins. No matter how ya stretch it. Nintendo has also had a great year. Games are still coming and the Switch is still moving consoles, more than PS4 lately. I guess it depends on what criteria you place it in. Just like you did for 3rd party exclusives for Sony and 1st party for Nintendo. One can say if it weren't for 1st party output, Nintendo would lose. They've only released 3 big games so far. Sony has had a lot more. I like them both though.

Nobady said that, but If you have 97 game we talking about one best games ever (plenty of reviewers said that), nobody said that 88 games is bad game (lol), but fact is that Zelda BotW is much more critically acclaimed game than Horizon Zero even Horizon Zero is great game.

Are you just talking about first party games? If so, I misunderstood your post. You quoted a post saying "exclusives and third party". But you only bolded the "exclusives" part, and you asked what "Sony have released". And it seems like you may have thought I was refering to Horizon in my post, so maybe you are.

For the record, I was refering to Nier: Automata, and not Horizon.

"Exclusives and third party" doesn't mean the exclusive in question can't be third party as well. I think what it means is "console exclusives and third party multiplats."
Example: Yakuza 0 and Resident Evil 7. Both are third party, Yakuza is console exclusive to PS4, while RE7 isn't, but it's not on a Nintendo console.

If you're only talking about first party titles I would agree that Nintendo has Sony beat this year in my own opinion. But I still wouldn't limit things to 90 on the metascore, but rather ask who has more critically acclaimed games this year.

I think we should coin the term "non on nintendo exclusive"

What you personally think is totally different thing, we have scores like proof what more objectively is better. Yes Sony has more exclusives (that actualy isnt strange becuse its few years on market so has stronger support and is was 2 monts more on market than Switch this year,), but Nintendo has higher quality exclusives so far, Zelda BotW and Mario Odyssey will be above everything Sony had this year despite fact that PS4 will have tons of games this year. Also from games you mentioned only two are Sony games, so Nintendo definitely easily beate Sony in quality of games for this year.

So, why do more Sony games win GOTY awards then?

Did Sony games won more GOTY awards this year than Nintendo!? Because we talking and this thread is specifically about this year.
