Wonder if the holidays can reverse this. Supply issues and X1X release could put X1 above Switch for the year. Though we don't know how much of a distance is between them.

That could turn around very quickly by the end of the holiday season. I'd probably wait until the end of the year before making a comparison of the console's year sales performance.

PS4 is going to do like 18-20m this year total, I suspect.
So its kinda a given that its above the switch this year.
Nintendo simply didnt plan on makeing enough units, to outsell the PS4.

We're talking about the UK here stock shortages doesn't apply. Even the author of the tweet says so.

Did you not read the OP. PS4 "is" above the Switch. And was Nintendo plan to beat the PS4 in the UK?  There is no way that was going to happen.
