My top three: 1) FFVI - Unquestionably the best of the series. Involving story filled with memorable moments (opera anyone?) surrounding a diverse cast of characters so lovingly conceived, each with their own backstories and significance. Powerful soundtrack from Uematsu. 2)FFIV - Not the best of the series but a sentimental favorite. A wonderful hero found in Cecil, a complex relationship and feud of old friends Cecil and Kain. A father's legacy for his son to turn from darkness, accept destiny and atone for his sins. 3) FFVII - A favorite to many as it was more than likely their first. Reinvented the series. Great story lead by a memorable cast, solid soundtrack, incredible climax. Cid = total badass! Plus, kudos for putting Samuel L. Jackson into the series (Barrett FTW!)

hmmm, I'd probably say 11 just cause I spent like 3 and a half years on it, but I don't know if people really consider it part of the series. so here are my other favorites^^;

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced

Final Fantasy 5 and 4 (I liked 4's remake until after you beat it, the extra stuff got kinda old, specially the dragoon thing)

Final Fantasy 2, I liked the idea of how to get stronger, y'know, getting beat up and stuff.

I could never finish 6 but I liked the little bit I played ; ; someone needs to make me finish that. lol

@Tokoro Forgot about FFXI. God, that game sucked nearly 4 years of my life away, turned me into a bitter, cynical recluse that lost faith in humanity. lol, good times...

I actually liked very much ffvii, ffviii and ffx.

3) Tactics Advance - First two need no explaining. This one i'm sure people are going "Over the original tactics?)

Here's why. More depth, the 5 races mean you have to do things differently for each race, the split in classes i think are neat... and i actually think the story is BETTER. Mostly because it's coherent.

I like how it doesn't take itself too seriously.

The laws admittidly could get annoying.  But I thought they added an interesting challenge.

my top 3: FF6 FF12 and FF7..... mention of honor goes to FF9

the worst ff was imo FF 8
