My top 3 is:

 

1. Final Fantasy VI (III here in USA).

2. Final Fantasy IV.

3. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube.

 

I really think that Final Fantasy VII is overrated, but I think some people consider it the best FF because it was their first FF game, and the first 3D FF.

Mystic Quest FTW!!

Ugh, I actually feel dirty just for the act of saying that... Seriously though, the best FF is VI, after that the series just took a nose dive (though IX was a brief return to form, they squandered it all with X)

1. FFIII (US)

3. FFVII (this is here because it was the first one with great cinematics)

I'm not saying is a bad game... but is not the best.

 

Only Sony fanboys put FF VII over FF VI or IV.
