If you want to play these on a Saturn you're looking at $600 minimum on the discs. Then you'll need a Saturn that'll play import games.

You can buy an Action Replay online so you can make your Saturn region free.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that thing. For some reason I thought you needed a modded saturn. Still gonna run you close to $700 for a decent Saturn collection though.

Saturn games I want emulated...

Panzer Dragoon Saga
Radiant Silvergun
Guardian Heroes
Shining Force III
Dragon Force
Assault Suit Leynos 2

Another game that desperately needs to be emulated or re-released is Suikoden II for the PS1.

Modchip(installation is rather easy)/Sega Saturn Rhea, and you are set. An action replay 4-in-1 ($30) will accept imports.

Suikoden 2 was re-released on PSN oh so long ago.

"$700 for a decent saturn collection"

That's cute, try $2k+

2k? You must have a longer list of games than me. Either that or PDS is worth $1k now. I'd love to hear what games you recommend for Saturn. A Saturn collection has been on my bucket list for years now.

Heya, apologies for the long wait, I was a bit busy. I will reply to this later today, you'd be surprised with how expensive some things are

You've gotta be really fucking hardcore to take an obscure homebrew-type game, then translate that entire game into another language, so that tens, or maybe hundreds of people if you're lucky, will play it.

As per Miguel_Zorro's suggestion to make threads for the rarer games that may be lost without preservation, I decided to find videos of rarer games running on an emulator

I've got that one on an actual NES cart. Picked one up on Aliexpress last year.

Anyways, emulation is also great for playing games that we never got over here in North America.  Stuff like Terranigma, Star Ocean (complete with translation patch), etc. And if you want to bypass emulation, you can also get these games unofficially (see: illegally) on sites like Aliexpress.  But that begs the question...is it better to emulate (and illegally download) these games while owning the official cart?  Or pirate them from China and play them on official hardware?

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA BSX IS IN A REPRO CART NOW!
