Frankly Hynad, I think it's easy to say that about any debate. "He did this, then that, than blabala " - not really a refute.

Besides, I'm only clarifying what he's doing because he seems to be misrepresenting what other people are saying, while also making bad points. Any argument would point that out ... So i'm clarifying that.

There shouldn't even have to be substance. My original post was just highlighting that people have valid reasons for not liking the look of XC2

Besides, I think we both know your bias here ...

My bias? Oh please, do elaborate!

To be honest, it's kind of hard to refute anyones reply when it's basically just "Your argument doesn't have much substance either because you're just repeating what he said" - what's that even supposed to mean? Repeating what someone said and pointing fingers at bad argument is what arguments are about ... that's not a lack of substance that's just an argument.

Oh ... I think you know what i'm talking about blud

Nope, I don't know what you're talking about. So, again, please elaborate.

As for the rest, just pointed out that you accusing him of having nothing worthwhile to say, while also having nothing worthwhile to say, was certainly funny.

You can't really have a completely worthwhile discussion when it literally revolves around he said she said.I originally was just trying to say that thinking X2 looks worse is a valid opinion ... but then things spiraled into pointlessness. My fault for admittedly being attracted to much to arguments, it really is a problem I have!

I thought the Reggie pic would make it obvious I was being sarcastic ...

It's hard to judge this game if all we have to go by are streams with poor quality and shitty camera angles (seriously, who plays like that?).

Nope. That Reggie pic didn't give that vibe. You mentioned a bias. If anything, that Reggie pic could have suggested a Nintendo bias. Which would have been a hilarious assumption.

Welp, my apologies then. Lol.

Pyra isn't a character per se.

That's definitely a problem. If the game doesn't properly use well-designed characters like her, then there goes part of my future enjoyment of it. How many playable characters are there? I don't think we've seen the other main characters in detail in an article. Press coverage seems clearly lacking.

So far there's Nia, the feline type character; Tora, a Nopon; and there's another party character who you see in the trailer that seems to be tied to your party in some artwork for the game I've seen and is an older (like Dunban's age) male human character; and I've seen some examination of the new footage that pointed out that a particular bird-like Blade being with the party could indicate that the really big dude with the hammer in the E3 trailer could be part of your party.  So we know pretty much for sure 4 and possibly 5.  If I were to guess, there will be at least as many as the original XC so at least 7 and possibly more.  Probably nearly 1 from each race.

And Pyra is still in the party and plays a role and I think her and the default blades for each character are plot characters.  Basically, each character is a pair: the primary character - the Driver - and their weapon/support character - the Blade.  So she can be in your party at all times if you so desire.

So far I think Nintendo have done a bad job of showing off this game. The two trailers don't really showcase the epic environments that are a staple of the series, and the streams from both E3 and Gamescom are very muddy and low quality. What we need is a new trailer similar to this:

Breath of the Wild really has amazing grass and foliage for what is basically a Wii U game. I wish Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looked more like that.

Yeah Botw's grass is breathtaking.

I do agree there.  It wasn't clear enough in the first trailer thaf the Titan was moving and the sizzle reel in the second went by too quick.  I think this environment in this stream is really awesome and should have gotten a better shot in the sizzle reel.

It seems that for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 they're focusing more on showing off the story than the exploration, that's why we haven't seen any trailer like this one for XC2 yet. Hopefully they show an exploration-focused trailer soon, to showcase the game's environments, which I'm sure will be breathtaking.
