Playing Fifa in portable mode is great, but i would like to know how dumbed down the Switch version will be.

If it is just a downgrade in graphics, i wouldnt mind. But if it goes beyond that, 60$ would be too much for the game.

It doesnt have the Journey single player campaign, and it doesnt run on Frostbyte. And thats it.

It really depends on how you want to play the game.If a single player experience matter for you, then the Switch is most likely not the version for you.But if you play it for the multiplayer and for those "with your friends" moments, the Switch might be the version for you, given its portability.

Wait, what is the journey single player?? The regular manager campaign? Sorry, it's been a long time since I bought a fifa, and I dont remember that one

Watch a video of it, its simpler to explain. But its basically you play as a charachter(original one), and you follow him in his career. Its like a story of a RPG, but for FIFA.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Excellent, graphics aren't so big of an issue in sports games for me, but res/fps always is, so 1080p/60fps is perfect regardless of any downgrades.

Will be a solid version of Fifa as long as it's not missing content/features.

Didnt we already had career player mode for that? Not the manager one, but the single player?

meh, ill look for a video, but as long as they have the normal manager mode is good enough for me

FIFA 17 also had The Journey, but FIFA 18 is the continuation of that.

If you mean before 17, then as far as I remember, no we never had such a campaign

How different to the ps4/xb1 versions does it look?

The switch version will probably look slightly better than the Xbox 360 version.

Just fact that runs at 1080p/60fps make huge difference compared to Xbox 360 version.

Awesome! Might pick this one up so that me and my fiancée can play together!

Yeah, not the same campaign. But we could create a player and following him in his career. At least in the last fifa that I Bought. You could either chose manager career or player career. I'm sure is not the same, but sounds related.

Well, given how graphically it looks like something that could have been done on XBOX 360, if it was anything other than 60 FPS it would have been an absolute disaster for EA.

Not that I expect them to try and port assets from the PS4 version, but graphically this looks several orders of magnitude below what the Switch can do -- or the even the Wii U in this instance.

Actually it seems that Fifa is somewhere between Xbox 360 and PS4 version, with fact thats 1080p while on Xbox360 is 720p and that alone is huge difrence.

The Switch version of Fifa looks really nice.
I think the lack of the Journey mode is not a big deal. This version does not seem targeted to competitive players
