I dont consider myself a Hardcore gamer, not by a long shot!

Ive been trying to beat the first boss in Dark Souls 3 and he's been kicking my ass for days now

Even then, i managed to beat without a sweat Horizon in Hard. The game is NOT difficult people!

It's not that it's too hard, it's about time saving.

If you don't have time to play a Souls game (or any game), play something else or watch a let's play. It isn't incumbent for any dev to make sure you can play their games.

Clearly, I'm very much against adding difficulty modes to games that shouldn't have them - especially Souls games.

Yeah. Even though I never got stuck, I just get overwhelmed by so many places to go and so much to see. That's the downside to open world games. Sometimes there's just too much game.

With Horizon, I'd be happy if it just took away all freedom and said "Go here. Do this. Now go here." I appreciate freedom (especially in Arkham games) but, for me, linearity was never a bad thing.

I actually plan on using the story difficulty. I'm less bad at games than simply impatient. I did beat Bloodborne and Dark Soul's 3, but I like to have fun with games rather than "git gud." Horizon isn't terribly hard, but I have been stuck on a boss battle for a few hours and would rather just get past it using this mode than keep struggling.

I agree, it's nice to have the option just in case. The story is a major strength for this game and building even lower difficulty modes to help deliver it for some people is a great idea.

Please do not add a story mode in Souls games

Thanks.

Horizon wasn't a hard game, except maybe for trials... but yes I approve that games have easy option and even more that there aren't trophies relating to difficult.

An open world with the option of linear path and no lenght transverse of map would be good...

And as long as the game is finishable like that and keep special bosses and challenges that you need to do all optional missions I'm good with it.

Props to Guerrilla Games and any developer who adds alternate modes for free.

And when they add the mode through a story expansion DLC?

Uncharted and TLOU had this; although it were even harder modes.

I don't understand your question.  I said props to any developer who does it for free.
