What the fuck is with this ramming vehicles into people trend? Happened in Nice, happened in Berlin, recently happened in Virginia, and now this. Do we have any information on the attacker? I know there is a referendum taking place for Catalonia leaving Spain in a few months, and is it connected to that at all, or is it just another terrorist attack?

Its a common terrorist act. Thats why Trump Tower was surrounded with dump trucks of sand when he won.

If guns arent easily accessible there are plenty of things to kill with.

This is the terrorist. Name is Driss Oukabir.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

All in all, it's always good to remember that you live on a planet of 7 billion. The news carefully cherrypicks all the absolute worst incidents they can find, on a daily basis - and among 7 billion, they will find SOMETHING. As a whole, though, we live in a wonderful, peaceful, safe era.

I wouldn't call this a wonderful era. Maybe it's because I was younger and more oblivious to stuff in general, but I feel like the world was a much safer and more peaceful place 10-15 years ago (well, at least the city where I live it definitely was). I'm happy with my own life and honestly 2017 has been probably the best year for me as it brought with it a good bunch of awesome games and movies (and is still bringing them), but outside of the artistic world it has been shit for sure.

^ so much this.

Back in the 90-00's, movies didnt have as much violence, kids people didnt curse as much, and there wherent all these crazy muslims running around attacking people.

On the bright side, all these vehicular attacks lately are going to accelerate the uptake of self driving vehicles. Can't run people over if your car won't let you.

I hate how little you can do about this. You can't ban vehicles.

Literally anyone of the millions and millions of people behind a wheel can do this if they wanted, disgusts me that this is a problem.

You could hit hard on those that teach or preach violence.

Every internet site with religius texts (that go in this direction), ect.

Every imam found encurageing people to do these acts ect.

That could actually help abit. Safety features in cars that prevent them from running over people.

Like cars with camra's that auto-break if they see you about to hit a person.

Yeah, that is until the DDoS attack comes and they can just do whatever they want with millions of cars at once.

That's not how DDoS'ing works.

Well, one thing about it is that you're not going to get a lot of anti-gun people promoting the ban or limitation of cars, or at least I'd assume that.

You can't stop people from having cars and they can cause a lot of damage easily so these are becoming more of the go to option for madmen.
