It's not additional story for Uncharted 4. It doesn't take place in the same setting, isn't part of any events tied to Uncharted 4, isn't linked to any of the plot from Uncharted 4.

You're confusing the original announcement about a planned story expansion for Uncharted 4, to how it grew to become a standalone game.

It's length, price point and dev time are all irrelevent to whether or not the game is stand alone. That actually made me chuckle.

In the end it doesn't even make a difference. So far all I seem indicate that it is a expansion of the concept to explain things that happened with both chars in the past of 4.

I hope they don't kill off one of the 2 main characters. Everything I've read seems to indicate this will be one of the last uncharted universe games for a while.

Hmm, about what I expected. I'll probably be picking this up for my brother, as I still haven't gotten him a birthday present yet

Just pre-ordered.

9 hours of new content is very good. I think I clocked Uncharted 4 in at around 12.

If you read the reviews, the main criticisms seem to stem around there not being enough innovation to gameplay or formula from Uncharted 4. Also some minor criticisms about plot and puzzles. That said other publications applauded the use of more puzzles and enjoyed the plot.

One thing is for certain; it's supposed to have that same Uncharted pacing, gameplay and beautiful visuals. Which is enough for me.

Im interested to see how ND take this franchise into the future. Perhaps a series of spin offs exploring other characters like Sully or Sam? All the while world building, growing the uncharted universe before finally revealing a new mainline entry. They're so talented, anything is possible.

In the past of Uncharted 4? The story of the Lost Legacy happens AFTER Uncharted 4.

The way you talk is as if we should consider Uncharted 2 and 3 as DLC for Uncharted 1.

I swear I tought it was supposed to show the past of the mercenary bitch.

2 and 3 weren't ment to be a small game exploring the engine and theme of 1 in a cheaper version.

I wasn't even expecting UC4, and for now they said Drake adventures are finished. Perhaps Sam will get some game on PS5.

But I stand corrected, the info I had was on the short expansion DLC, but ND themselves said they changed the direction and should be considered more as its own game.

Even though I'll keep my opinion that 85 is a good story on the 1 year refresh on the game.

Seems pretty good.

Only reason I won't pick it up is because it seems to be the perfect candidate for PS Plus, just like Infamous First Light.

No Nathan Drake, no buy.
