Lots of twitterians blaming Trump for this one...

Sad to see the kind of shit going on in America these days. BLM, KKK, all these stupid groups promote violence and division. Like, how the fuck can this sort of thing happen these days? I thought the KKK was long gone already.

It's the convienant lie people tell themselves. Neo-Nazis/KKK and their ilk are still around.

And Trump deserves blame. He's more decisive in blaming Nordstorm for not carrying Ivanka's handbags than he is to condemn white supremasists. He is a weasal president and he won't clearly condemn them because he knows they are an important bloc of his voter base.

I've heard him condem them and anti-semmitic groups already (which it's funny that he got criticism for that considering his son in law and daughter are Jewish).  What's the point in repeating things when his stance is known?  At least he doesn't just push one side like when Obama did the bare minimum of PR when a policeman was shot in a race fueled incident then made it into the biggest deal in the world when one would shoot someone (for the record I think both should be big deals but he clearly favored one story over the other and it caused divisiveness).  Trump is more of less acknowledging there are hate groups and not supporting them.

oh and don't think I support Trump either I'm just not a fan of the "I don't support this guy so everything he does or doesn't do I have to criticize" camp of political debate.  I think this is one of the few areas where I don't disagree with his actions.

I don't understand the people saying "both of these groups are cancer" or "they both are a waste of oxygen".

Like unless you didn't read the post at all ...

One of them is protesting against hate speech, the other is a hate speech group. How is the former worthless? Sure, free speech should be allowed and all - but protesting is valid as well.

He won't say it decisively because it's a voter bloc for him. Don't kid yourself here.

Every other president, including Republican presidents like Bush and Reagan would have loudly condemned white supremasists with no ambiguity.

Trump may eventually do it, only because he may eventually be shamed into doing so. In many ways Trump is worse than the racists IMO.

A racist is usually an idiot who has learned hatred of other people on the basis of skin pigment.

Trump knowingly manipulates said situation for his own personal gain. Which is of the two is worse?

As I said, lets have a confirmation come in. Protesting is not against the law, whether they be white spremacists or any other group. If Trump doesn't respond, I'll go along with your criticism as well.

So far Trump avoided commenting on it:

He usually avoids denouncing KKK support and things of that nature. Remember "I don't know them. They might be good people"?
But as soon as there's a terrorist act done by a muslim, he's super quick to comment about it on twitter even before anyone asks him.

Because we don't know who drove the car. Why comment on something when we have no confirmation.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Hating someone on the basis on their skin pigment is not a logical position.

By all means tell that to modern media.

are you saying white people get no roles anymore? because that would be utter nonsense

and the news aren't "hating" white people either

That guy driving into people is messed up to no end. I wish things wouldn't go that far.

On the protesters, I don't care for antifa or white supremacists so they can have it all they want.

How much of a voting bloc? I really don't think there are enough white supremicists to change an election result. Yes, these people are pieces of shit, and if it is confirmed that a white supremicist drove that car into those people, it should be considered a terrorist attack by the president.

All of them promote violence one way or another. Of course one has a far worse more degrading and terrible history (KKK), but lets not say that BLM is a totally fair group. I mean they shot 6 police officers in Dallas a couple years back, and have spread violence too. Neither group helps unify America in any sort of fashion.

Promoting violence and commiting absolute genocidal atrocities are two very different things. Besides, unlike the KKK, BLM's leaders do not promote violence.

Unfortunently, BLM still has people who take part in violence and openly hate white people (why I can't support it). Neither group should exist in any fabric... but I hope America realizes that eventually.

Canada has people who take part in violence and openly hate people > Canada shouldn't exist ?

Hasn't stopped him from commenting on other terrorist acts before a suspect has been apprehended.
But one of the questions was "-Do you want the support of these white nationalists groups?"
He has been asked this before, and replied saying "I don't know them. They might be good people."

Beginning of the video. He has denounced these groups before.
