If they make a mainline title, i might be tempted to get the switch.

Well, consider yourself tempted, because they've already confirmed that they're making a mainline title.

Btw, the DS got t it's first Pokemon 2 years into its life. Same with 3DS. So 2019 is the most logical, and likely, scenario. Hope this also means they don't rush anything into 2018. Maybe a Mystery Dungeon. Tho the Switch already has Pokken...

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

They will take Ragnarok Online Sprites and will sell it to us as a next gen game. Thats gamefreak. They even donr know what UE4 is.

Mainline Pokemon games haven't been using sprited for 5 years, keep up

---

OT: I'm interested as well. They'll have to come up with a way to balance the playstyles of people on the go and people who like to sit at home and be immersed in the game world. Hopefully the game isn't so obnoxiously hand-holdy like Sun and Moon were.

I wish they did, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are still the best looking games in the mainline series.

What? Even if you prefer sprites to models, Black and White (and their sequels) look miles better.

Ew, no.
The animated low res sprites in BWB2W2 are not nearly as good looking as the DPPt higher res sprites.

A bit unclear on what their direction will be tbh, S/M was good although it felt a bit weird not having some of the usual quirks like gyms. One thing I'm not fond of though since X/Y is the lack of post game content as before players would tell you Pokemon games don't start until you beat the elite 4 and the champion and that's kind of been left out.
