"Wow, Breath of the Wild isn't even in the museum? Fucking Nintendo bias!"

I went to my old Grandparents house and found a bunch of random Gameboy games. I hope they're rare enough to sell : P

One of those pics shows off the NES color palette. Most people don't know NES didn't have yellow. The closest to yellow NES had was a very light shade of orange. If you go play games like Bart Simpson vs The Space Mutants, Bart is orange.

Atari came out with an 8-bit system that had a much larger color pallete than the NES. It didn't take off, but there's a cult following around making modern games for the system.

Damn, those sure were different times... I'm particularly impressed Activision already had that same logo, to be honest I didn't even know they existed all the way back then.

If Im not mistaken, Activision was the first third party company(Or one of the first ones).Until then, everything was done in house, and if you wanted to make your own game, but didnt want to work on companies like Atari, you had to make your own hardware.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Where is Knack?

Looks more like a second hand store or someone's basement collection. They really need give those things more room, highlighting single influential games and have a lot more interactivity and screens.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Such a cool museum. It is hard to believe that one day the very systems we play on will be considered ancient and rare. One day people will look at our system like a dial disk phone.

Activision was founded by programmers who were sick of getting screwed over by Atari. They would single handidly make games that sold millions, but only get paid 20 grand a year tops.

Cool post, the beginning of the first stage in Mario Bros will probably be the most iconic for me
