Well i take it many investors see it as a less active period. Most people in summer are taking vacation therefore not buying software. Personally I do not think it's true, but I can understand why the summer might seem more empty than other seasons.
PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

I don´t think that´s actually the case....many games are launched on summer (that would be winter for me here in the South lol).. but.. I do have the feeling that companies prefer to launch new IPs in that period and leave new games of better stablished IP`s to winter / holiday season, but this is just a guess....
We had plenty of good games launched, and to be launched, this year in that period

You would probably be happier if you played the games that you like.
Rather than having to wait for the games to come to you.
Why not just pick up something to satisfy you for this drought you're in. They're plenty to play right now.
If you are talking about the period after a new system releases. Then of course you'll see the bigger games want to make shelves by the busiest seasons.
A not so complete list of great titles out or coming out this Summer.
Sundered
Pyre
Nioh Defiant Honor DLC

This post is made right after the launch of Splatoon 2. Seriously dude, bad timing lol.
Because all the casuals go outside then instead of buying video games and casuals make up the vast majority of the market.

That was harsh.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
Self explanatory really.
A lot people go on holiday so less time to game even if they want to, or when the weather is good they don't stay indoors. From the companies perspective, it isn't too far off holiday season, so they would rather hang on for the sales boost then if the push the release back to september.
