Natsume says that Harvest Moon: Light of Hope’s E3 appearance was based on a “very early build”

[Update] Just for those who seem confused by the low quality of the game:

Please note that this is technically not apart of the original Harvest Moon series of games. The original series of Harvest Moon games got rebranded in the west from Harvest Moon to Story of Seasons (no brand changes in the original Japanese versions). This was because Marvelous lost the rights to the western title of the series (Harvest Moon), but it's still technically apart of the original Harvest Moon series since it's only the localisation of the title which has been rebranded. It's still the original series it always has been in Japan right from the first game on the SNES. I explain it more in depth here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8515640 This guy also gets it: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8515671

You're probably wondering what this game is then? Basically it's just Natsume trying to get whatever they can out of the Harvest Moon brand.

But don't worry, a Story of Seasons game is coming to the Switch too. (No other platforms I believe have been announced though)

Looks like a flash game.

My thoughts exactly.I dont care if its a really early build version. If its still not good enough, you simply dont show.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Man, even Harvest Moon is trying to cash in on the Stardew Valley 2D hype. Sadly, it doesn't look good...at all. I'm sure this was a budget title just to find their footing on Switch.

lmao, it looks like a mobile game

This garbage looks worse than most ds games. I thought Harvest Moon was a great series?

Looks awful.

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

Looks just as bad as the Wii U title

Am going to avoid the Harvest Moon franchise from Natsume for the most part, though the Minecraft-esque versions for the 3DS looks to have potential

Marvelous who used to make all of the old Harvest Moon games no longer works with Natsume, who owns the Harvest Moon IP and name. So they now come out under the name 'Story of Seasons'. So basically Harvest Moon is now technically Story of Seasons because it was the developers at Marvelous who actually made all the old Harvest Moon games, the only difference is they can't use the Harvest Moon brand. A new Story of Seasons game is also coming to the Switch btw.

^This is really what is now technically Harvest Moon now a days. It's just rebranded as Story of Seasons. Also why Story of Seasons is celebrating it's 20th anniversary, because it's within the year of Harvest Moon's 20th anniversary.
