I think there are games that are better(Zelda and Persona come to mind) though, so I wouldn't mind other singleplayer or multiplayer games winning either.

Overwatch was the second most awarded game in 2016. Uncharted 4 was the most awarded game.

I was talking about the Game Awards. Both games won a lot of GOTY awards, but I remember a big amount of backlash when Overwatch won at Game Awards. It's not a cockfighting contest, I'm just seeing it's nice to see these fun multiplayer titles get recognition.

Overwatch deserved GOTY 2016 imo.

Unlikely, but it's amazing how it's been selling gangbusters on PC. It's already reached 5m sold within just 4 months, that's insane.

Overwatch was more GOTY awards from critics just last year. And when you include reader polls, Uncharted 4 won more. Both shooters.

Anyways, yes, it's a GOTY contender. Immensely popular. Can't wait for it on Xbone. I've thought about getting it on PC but i don't care for mouse/kb.

Having played the game for some time, i'm gonna say no. The game is simply too buggy/unfinished/early access.

It should get a twitch award for making them so much money.

This game lives and dies with its streamers, certainly not because of content or game quality.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's a big contender for Shooter of the year alongside Splatoon 2 and Destiny 2, I don't think it'll go for general GOTY because while it IS big it's nowhere near as big as Overwatch last year, plus it's still a Beta, right ?
