I thought I heard this game was canceled a while back ....hope this releases I was really looking forward to this game all black and white art style . Good Find

From what I read it was scrapped. The game looks pretty good though, so hopefully it does come out.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

still good to know its not cancelled

Cool, but it most likely won't come.

Like I said, it was just RUMORED (by message board users...the most credible source >_>) to be scrapped due to various reasons but that really doesn't seem to be the case...

I read it from more places than just message boards, like Kotaku.  I would post the article if Kotaku's search function wasn't so god awful.

Confirmed for GOTY

looks like they just lost a studio ..... source : http://www.cubed3.com/news/7260 back on track woot !

Recent reports revealed how Nibris had lost Frontline Studio's as its development partner for the upcoming project Sadness, and for some pessimists, this put the future of the title into doubt. Now, the ambitious company has very kindly informed us that the recent changes are nothing to fret about, and has indicated that the project is going ahead as previously planned.

Nibris, due to artistic differences, formally ended negotiations with Frontline on 17th March. However, they have already located themselves a new partner, the identity of which is currently unknown.

"We would like to apologize for rumors and doubts that might have arisen," the company informed us. "We want to assure, that Nibris ltd. makes great effort to make our projects completely innovative and meeting highest quality standards."

Sadness is a highly mysterious title set in pre-World War One Eastern Europe. You play the role of a woman, Maria, determined to protect the life of your young narcoleptic son as Werewolves and other terrifying creatures attempt to hunt you down. You must capitalize on the wielding ways of the remote to defend yourself against the vast array of enemies.

Expect an offical press release later this week - for now, just rejoice that the project is firmly on track.

It wasn't canceled...there just hasn't been any info and everyone seems to think it's vapor ware for some reason.

The definition of Vaporware:

"Vaporware is a software or hardware product which is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge, either with or without a protracted development cycle. The term implies unwarranted optimism, or sometimes even deception; that is, it may imply that the announcer knows that product development is in too early a stage to support responsible statements about its completion date, feature set, or even feasibility."

People don't call it vaporware for "some reason" they call it that because thats what it is. Until they start putting out screenshots and videos instead of concept art thats what its going to be. I would love for them to make the game, it sounds great, but I've been hearing about this since like April of 2006 and they even claimed they would put out a trailer with in-game footage in 2007 and here we are in mid-2008 and nothing.

There is simply no reason to think anything has changed or that the game is coming at all. Even this article explicitly states the screenshot is old. At the bare minimum they could of put out some new concept art, but even that hasn't happened.  Hell as far as I know they still haven't found themselves a publisher.

To Each Man, Responsibility

This game will be released on 2012 probably
