Bethesda has released three new screenshots for The Evil Within 2. Developed by Tango Gameworks and created by Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within 2 promises to take the acclaimed franchise to a new level with its unique blend of psychological thrills and true survival horror.

The Evil Within 2 is currently planned for an October 13th release.

Guessing thats the PC version?

What's the difference? Better textures and shadows? The game will overall look the same on both platforms.

What makes you think this way? Its not like there is much difference between PC or console games these days, except higher/lower framerate.

Those photos look very sharp. If thats console footage i am impressed. The Textures, Lighting and Shadows look way beyond what a base PS4 and XB1 can achieve. I wouldnt be suprised if thats PC, Pro and X1X footage.

Look like PS2 graphics.

There are big differences between Console and PC games when it comes to visuals. 

Here is a list of just some things PC games do better than there console counter parts.

Better shadows, lighting, AA, Anisotropic Filtering, Vsync, 4k Resolution, 4k Assets, higher framerates, Draw Distances, Physics and increased AI (Depending on the game) just to name some off the top of my head.

Yes Pro and X1X do 4k however we are talking bare bones 4k. X1X might add 4k Assets. WIll see.

The difference between a high end pc and a console, even the ps4 pro is night and day. Its a valid point they ask and it would have been nice to know the source of the images. Its always dissapointing for people who play mainly on console to see a much better looking game and get their hopes up.

It looks like a step up from the first one but lets hope the framerate is also MUCH better then the original entry to this series
