Looks boring to me

Around the Network

I worry for this. Not because it doesn't look good (graphically), as well, it does but there are 2 things that put me off games.

The idea of 'cool multiplayer experience' with your mates and scripts in gameplay.

No one talks like that, no one. It's sad to even portray it like this. No one walks through maps like that. No one acts real cool or thinking they are cool playing these games.

It's a giant lie and that means my interested in this game is about the same as it is for The Division... I had none.

They need to salvage this but making out like this game is more Mass Effect 2 than a Destiny/Division cross. I want a story, a good single player gaming experience from Bioware (their strength), not MP bullcrap. If this game is dependent on MP I won't be interested.

Hmm, pie.

Oh, another sci fi futuristic shooter rpg game involving a bunch of names, planets, an cultures that none of us know and it just all sounds like a bunch of made up nonsense? Booooring. ME was their new series, and it ended up getting worse after 2, and now they want to make another new series. Then again, I shouldn't even care cause all Bioware does now days is make horrible mmos instead of a proper KOTOR sequel, focus on political agenda in their games, and design every freaking eye ball to look super creepy in their games; seriously, their characters literally creep me out in this game and especially Andromeda. Also, the character design of ME3 was disturbing and bland compared to 1 and 2.

This is the circle of things though. RARE died years ago and some thing took over its body. Same with Bioware.

This post genuinely made me shudder.  Demanding that writers throw away new ideas and worlds just so they can keep churning out more Star Wars or whatever is repulsive to me.

You should be shuddering that you thought EA could publish a decent game.

Anthem is mainly being developed by a team in Bioware Austin with a smaller contingent working on it from Edmonton. This game was not supposed to be announced at E3, but MS paid EA tens of millions of dollars to get this to a point so MS could announce this during their conference. This game was running like hot garbage weeks before E3, and EA actually flew in some specialists from DICE to work on the game for a few weeks with the development team to turn things around and get it ready. Swimming and flying were completely broken before they got involved. The only part of the game that is as good as the E3 demo are the parts shown in the E3 demo, and that came by making a bunch of temporary shortcuts in order to make this game presentable. Practically everything else has to be re-done or completely reworked, and they have a lot of work to do in order to try and match the bar they set for themselves at E3. Do not be surprised if this game looks worse at launch.

The development of this game got off to a very rocky start due to some key personnel being in over their heads. Heads have rolled at EA over this game already and there will probably be more to follow. They're looking to change some development processes to be more like the DICE crew's work processes but that might require a shift in the makeup the development to make it happen.

This game might turn out great but the E3 presentation was a whole lot of makeup on a pig. That's not a lot of time considering they're aiming for a fall 2018 release. You can expect MS timed exclusive content for Anthem in response to Sony's deal with Destiny.

This is such a big lie and a load of bullshit! Alright, so what big game has BioWare Edmonton been working on for the past 4-5 years? You must have some big beef with BioWare because this is such a big claim.

So it must be a lie because you don't want to believe it? I can't tell you what the majority of BioWare Edmonton has been working on for the past 4-5 years, but i can tell you that it's not Anthem. This game hasn't been in development for 4-5 years either. Nowhere close to that.

Source?

Or just a big load oh rubbish?

When have I ever made a claim about an upcoming game that turned out to be bullshit?

I don't care if you don't believe me. Everything I wrote is factual. If you think I randomly started bombing into threads and making things up about upcoming games just to troll, that's on you.

It's a lie until its been proven to be a truth. No offense to you personally but the gaming community does offer a decent share of fake news. So it's understandable to be skeptical.

Be skeptical all you want. I couldn't care less. I've never shared fake news on this site and I don't intend on starting.

Yup, confirms trash tier posting.

Until further notice

The mods are more than welcome to reach out to me to verify information that would prove my credibility. I've stated this multiple times. If you don't want to take my word on this game, and think out of the blue that I'm randomly talking about the development of a single video game that was just announced when I've never done such a thing before, that's fine.

Digital Foundry thought it looks "incredible" and added "but we've been here before. From Watchdogs to Destiny to Witcher 3. This has sadly beome the generation of the downgrades."

Digital Foundry have an eye for this sort of thing.
And I agree. The game looks too good to be true in my eyes.

Witcher 3 is the best game I've ever played in my life, and it's fucking gorgeous to boot.....so if I can get that sort of experience from Anthem, sign me up

The only thing that looked fake from the E3 demo was the chat between players.

So according to you....

Bioware and EA are lying about which studio is heading up develpment on this game

They're lying about how long they've been working on this game

MS, who has spent remarkably little lately on game marketing, 3rd party exclusive content, etc, paid TENS of millions just to have them announce this....without even a breaths mention of a partnership, exclusive content, timed exclusive, first on Xbox, or anything?

Oh the game was completely broken a few weeks before E3, but a few people from DICE got the game running well enough for a 7 minute demo, when other developers take months of time just preparing a 5 minute demo for E3

Sounds legit
