The screenshots and artwork start by showcasing five characters: Man Chong, Zhou Cang, Sun Shangxiang, Lu Xun and Lu Bu.
We also get to see some of the lovely environments of the game, including cities, forests, rivers, deserts, and more. The Great Wall of China will also be modeled, and we’ll be able to visit it.
Random encounters in the world can generate battles, including those against wildlife. Aggressive predators include packs of wolves and tigers, while meeting a panda might actually have beneficial effects
The screenshots also showcase the fact that there are different ways of achieving a mission. One can ambush caravans to obtain valuables and gold, with the possibility of influencing future battles. When attacking a fort, it’s possible to infiltrate by oneself while using a grappling hook, facing the enemy soldiers inside, or bash down the gate with a battering ram, fighting a harder battle outside, but bringing in support inside the walls once the gate is destroyed.

Dynasty Warriors 9 has been announced exclusively for PS4 in Japan, where it will release this year. The western arm of Koei Tecmo, while confirming that a localization is coming, has remained silent on the game’s platforms, possibly meaning that the title might not be a PS4 exclusive in North America and Europe.
