I watch the news pretty much all day. CNN often seems like entertainment news. HLN only focuses on the attention grabbing headlines until a certain time when they say "Fuck the news" and show crime reality shows for several hours. Sometimes I watch Fox News and, more often than not, I regret it...but I can't turn away.
To me, the news should just report facts. It's always going to have a little bias spin because people are biased. Many of the shows on Fox News seem to go way beyond that. They try to tell you what to think!
I watched Fox and Friends (aka hot women on a sofa) and they seem to spend more time bashing Obama and defending Trump than anything. They actually made fun of the way a woman talked and laughed at her for mispronouncing a word. Tucker Carlson literally makes fun of his guests and if the dispute him, he arrogantly dismisses them. One guy had statistics and Tucker just said "Oh, you already looked this up.", rolled his eyes, and changed the subject.
There are other shows (The Five and Outnumbered I think they're called) where a majority just seemed to attack the one person with a different opinion.
I'm sure this arrogant attitude is what makes these shows popular and, while I'm not really a part of any particular party my beliefs lean more to the left. I just feel dirty and disgusted whenever I watch these smug reporters with their spin on the day's news.
