Dragon Quest XI is looking good for localization. A Dutch PR company has seemingly confirmed that they are handling PR for the release in the west. However, it’s unclear what platforms are involved. A release window is also unknown.

Dragon Quest XI is launching in Japan on July 29 on 3DS and PlayStation 4. A Switch version is also in the works, but Square Enix has yet to show it. Hopefully all versions will make it overseas.

Wasnt this already official? What we really need is a release date.

Was this ever in doubt? DQ does okay in the west right? esp now that FF went more action like.
Theres a market for more traditional rpgs in the west.

Well Dragon Quest VII 3DS took 3 years to come and X never came.

But yeah, after VII, VIII, Builders and both Heroes games it was obvious XI would get localized.

Can't wait for this one. Definitely getting both versions but the PS4 version is pure eye candy.

It feels like the VIII jump to the PS2 doesn't it? I can't wait for this.

Well, I'd certainly hope so. The game seems like it could be something really great.

Pretty much, this game seems like the 2nd coming of Dragon Quest VIII. Everything just looks perfect. 

I would be surprised if any of the three versions didn't make it west. I'm expecting that we'll get all three of them.

The only thing that was ever in doubt was which platforms would make it over. And that's still in doubt.
