IGN preview of XC 2.Rather thin and doesnt go deep, but its really encouraging from what it is written.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

So honestly, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay looked fantastic. The environment is gorgeous, it seems they've polished out the grass and shadow draw distance issues, and that city looks amazing. And the music is just...oooh sooo good.

And just browsing the other things shown, Nine Parchments actually looks pretty cool. It's basically Gauntlet. There were some technical hiccups but hopefully those will be polished up.

And they still have 3 or 4 months of polishing ahead of them.I swear, assuming that the story lives up to the name, we are easily seeing another 90+ game on our hands.I mean, gameplay looks amazing.Music is beyond a shadow of doubt thats going to be masterful.World and design in general are simply gorgeous. The only unknown here is story and narrative but I have faith in Monolith. Its amazing how much quality Nintendo manages to pull in one year, and all in time for the launch year of the Switch.

The Sloshing Machine is completely unchanged from the first game, but despite that I not only like it more, but I think it may even be my favorite Slosher now! That's probably because I've used the OG Slosher for so long that it's starting to get stale, whereas I didn't use the SM nearly as much in Splatoon 1 so it's like a breath of fresh air.

Speaking of which, the new map, while still kinda small, is atleast more open and doesn't have a raised center, making it the most distinct of the Splatoon 2 maps and my favorite one so far, yes not just because of the thematics!

Got my Switch back from repair. They fixed all the issues I had (though I think they just replaced the R. Joy-Con rather than fixing it), but they returned it with the Game Card slot flap being a bit more loose than I remember it. I can't say I'm too happy with the build quality of the Switch, I hope this is the only time I'll have to get it repaired.

Also Mario + Rabbids seems to be doing pretty well critically, it's at 84 on Metacritic so far
